Founder, Social Business Venture Fund

As founder and executive of a Social Business Venture Fund and as an author of a feature-length documentary illustrating this new type of capitalism with examples of social business entrepreneurs from around the world, Mr. Moraes Neto is pursuing his dream and career to advance the development of the 2.5 Sector – the emerging field of Social Business – in Brazil. Mr. Moraes Neto began his career in the field of social entrepreneurship when he was only 15 years old while working as a coordinator for two years at Asociación Gente Nueva (AGN), an organization that disseminates positive values through youth leadership and has a presence in eight countries. There, he was responsible for strategic planning and worked in the development of AGN’s National Leadership Congress, which gathered 900 young leaders in Brazil. Between 2004 and 2008, while working toward his bachelor’s degree in public and business administration at FGV University in São Paulo, Antonio led and developed several projects and organizations. During his first two years at university, as president of FGV Public Junior Enterprise, a management consulting firm for non-profit and public organizations, Antonio contributed to doubling the revenue and number of projects. He also founded Social Connection, a university organization focused on leveraging the potential of students as change-makers. During his internships at Endeavor and the international consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Moraes Neto worked with high growth potential companies and large multinationals in fields such as banking, agribusiness, media, information technology and metallurgy. At Endeavor, he developed strategic partnerships, in particular working with McKinsey&Co. and the National Foundation for Quality (FNQ).
