Emilio Azcárraga Jean is the Chairman and CEO of Grupo Televisa, Mexico’s leading broadcaster. He stepped into the role at the age of 29.  Mr. Azcárraga Jean also serves as a board member of Banamex.

Today, Azcárraga’s Televisa is the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world.  In Mexico, it is the market leader with an approximate 70 percent average audience share, and a mix of telenovelas, variety shows, entertainment, news, sports and movies on four national networks. Successfully restructuring the company shortly after he took over, Azcárraga has managed to grow Televisa into one of the most prominent media conglomerates in the world.

Azcárraga’s is at the forefront of the Televisa Foundation whose goal it is to work alongside policy-makers to produce socially responsible messages via programming.  

Azcárraga is also the founding member of the Americas Business Council which aims to address important issues facing the Americas through idea-sharing platforms that serve to positively influence the next generation of leaders.
