Daniela Nascimento Fainberg

In 2005, Daniela Nascimento Fainberg created New Generation Program, a social initiative to engage privileged youth, between 20 to 40 years old, with philanthropy and social change in Brazil. From the results of the first group of 20 young leaders, in May of 2007, she founded the Instituto Geração (Generation Institute), the first Brazilian NGO that aims to steer privileged young individuals to be responsible for their own development process and enhance their role on the inequality reduction.

Instituto Geracão offers individuals private meetings and spaces within peers where they can learn, share and practice in order to qualify their social intervention so they can improve their comprehension and reading about society contexts, critical reflection about concepts and practices, awareness about their social roles and consistency through values and practices.

Daniela has eleven years of experience working for non-profit. She started her career working at São Paulo office of W.K.Kellogg Foundation monitoring the Latin-American projects. Later, she moved to IDIS – Institute for the Development of Social Investment, where she created and managed Family Social Investment Division. This area supports families on their social investment, to maximize the results of their giving and to achieve the family motivation and passion. Daniela is also a frequent speaker on Brazilian and International workshops on family, individual, and the role of the next generation in philanthropy.

She is graduated in Social Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil.
