GUILLERMO ROMO

Owner, Mega Enterprises, former owner, Herradura Tequila

Guillermo Romo is the former owner of Grupo Industrial Herradura, S.A. de C.V. (Casa Herradura). He was the sixth-generation in his family to own and run the business. In January 2007, Brown Forman purchased all of Herradura's 136-year-old company's related assets.

Since this successful transaction, Romo has focused his attention on diversifying his family's liquid portfolio. He is currently a majority stakeholder in Mega Enterprises, a leading Mexican enterprise architecture company as well as Millesime, a Swiss financier. Romo is also a shareholder in Dallas-based broker dealer Global Securities.

Guillermo Romo is a founding member of the Americas Business Council, which aims to address important issues facing the Americas through idea-sharing platforms that serve to positively influence the next generation of leaders. As a successful, young entrepreneur, Romo is dedicated to promoting transparent and honest business practices.
