AMERICAS BUSINESS COUNCIL

The Americas Business Council (ABC) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to creating conferences and roundtables where established and emerging business leaders can share ideas, formulate solutions, and prepare to take action. The ABC’s mission is to develop an international network of business leaders who work to achieve sustainability in societies across the Americas. By producing conferences and roundtables for small audiences, the ABC generates interaction among top-level leaders and then uses both traditional and innovative communication methods to share this content to inspire a broader community to engage in attaining a sustainable future.

Led by Emilio Azcárraga, Chairman and CEO of Grupo Televisa, the ABC will address issues of social consciousness such as environmental sustainability through its Green Forums, best practices in philanthropy through its Philanthropy Forums, and bridging divided societies through the Reconciliation Forum. Over the past decade PODER Magazine has developed an international network of progressive political and corporate leaders. The Americas Business Council will draw from this vast network, bringing them together for innovative forums, and count on PODER as an editorial advisory board in the planning of our upcoming events. Through this editorial advisory board, PODER editors and journalists will donate their time and expertise to the various events developed by the ABC. Upcoming ABC events include the 2009 ABC Reconciliation Forum, the NGF Forum, the ABC Green Forum, and the ABC Philanthropy Forum.
